James C. Marshal
Mr. Marshal, born in Washington D.C. and raised in Northern Virginia, relocated to Melbourne in 1984. He was educated at Melbourne High School, Brevard Community College, Rollins College, and Florida Institute of Technology.
He entered the financial services industry in 1990 as a young apprentice at a small financial planning firm in Palm Bay. Six years later he joined Olde Stockbrokers (now H&R Block), and in early 2000, he joined Summit Brokerage Services as a partner to the President and CEO. He later served as Vice President of Investments, Insurance, and Registered Investment Advisor divisions within the firm. Summit Brokerage being sold in 2003, created the opportunity for him to launch Safe Harbor Financial Services, LLC.
Through a unique process that addresses financial misconceptions, he teaches how to best position your assets to become more efficient in accumulating the necessary resources to support a successful financial future. Instructing business and personal finance workshops each year, he is a co-author of “Lifetime Financial Strategies”, a book discussing a subject that should be thoroughly taught in all High Schools and Middle Schools - Basic wealth building tools and strategies.
Mr. Marshal is a strong advocate for Small Business issues with past/or current affiliations with the Melbourne Area Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Council, Government Affairs Committee, Small Business Committee, Economic Development Commission, Salvation Army Executive Advisory Board, LEAD Brevard Young Professionals, State Representative Mitch Needelman’s Property Insurance Panel, Brevard Symphony Orchestras’ Vivace Society, Brevard Young Republicans, Orange County Young Republicans, Florida Federation of Young Republicans, Brevard Republican Executive Commitee, The Republican Men's Club of Brevard, and the Republican Party of Florida.
Mr. Marshal is the father of 3 children, 2 boys and 1 girl, each attending Brevard County schools. When not working on various business projects or political initiatives, he enjoys playing piano and writing music in his spare time.
